In this modern shaker kitchen, the Rangemaster cooker became the starting point for the design. A contemporary box canopy, floating Halifax Oak shelf, and full-height Calacatta Heritage quartz splashback were used to create a striking focal point. The result demonstrates that a range cooker can feel every bit as modern as built-in ovens when it is integrated into the overall design from the outset.

For this project, the Rangemaster cooker was positioned at the centre of the design, with matching extra-tall cabinetry and storage arranged on either side. This creates a strong focal point while helping the kitchen feel more spacious, cohesive, and timeless.

The best splashback is one that balances practicality with visual impact. While tiled splashbacks remain popular, many homeowners are now choosing full-height quartz surfaces because they create a seamless appearance, eliminate grout lines, and are significantly easier to clean and maintain.

In this kitchen, Calacatta Heritage quartz was carried from the worktops up behind the Rangemaster cooker to create a full-height splashback. Beyond protecting the wall, it transforms the cooking area into a design feature and helps create the uninterrupted look often associated with luxury kitchen design.

Features such as waterfall worktops, premium stone surfaces, bevel-edge profiles, concealed drainage, and carefully considered proportions are often what distinguish a bespoke kitchen island from a standard design.

In this kitchen, the Hunter Green island is topped with Calacatta Heritage quartz featuring a waterfall edge and bevel profile. The absence of drainer grooves also helps preserve the clean, uninterrupted surface, allowing the island to function as both a practical workspace and a standout design feature.
