About the Role

As Mark Lohan Kitchens continues to grow, we’re looking for a Kitchen Installation Coordinator / Surveyor to join our commercial division and take responsibility for coordinating kitchen, utility and wardrobe installations across multiple housing and apartment developments.

Combining on-site surveying and office-based coordination, you’ll work closely with our Commercial Contracts Manager, CAD/Design team, Production Department, site management and fitting teams to move each project from survey through to completed installation and final handover.

You may be an experienced kitchen fitter or installer looking to move away from full-time fitting, or already working in installation supervision, site coordination, kitchen survey-ing, joinery or cabinet making. A management background is not essential; we’ll provide the training and support to help you develop into the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate site surveys for kitchen, utility and wardrobe installations, recording dimensions, services and site-specific requirements.
• Provide clear survey information to our CAD team so drawings can be updated for manufacture.
• Liaise with site managers and foremen on installation programmes and required installation dates.
• Monitor site readiness and identify potential issues before fitters arrive.
• Plan installations around site requirements, production lead times and fitter availability.
• Allocate work to fitting teams and maintain a consistent workload.
• Act as the main day-to-day contact for fitters, resolving site queries, shortages and installation issues that may arise.
• Inspect completed installations and prepare snag lists.
• Carry out minor remedial works where practical and coordinate fitters and materials for larger remedial works.
• Follow each project through until installation and snagging are fully completed.

Skills and Experience

Strong practical knowledge of kitchens and kitchen installation is essential, together with the ability to survey accurately, understand site requirements and identify practical solutions. Relevant hands-on experience matters more to us than formal qualifications.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

•  Accurate surveying and measuring skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities.
• Clear communication and confidence working with fitters, builders, site managers and foremen.
• A practical approach to problem-solving.
• A good level of computer skills is required.
• A full driving licence.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.

Full training will be provided on our internal systems and processes.

As Mark Lohan Kitchens continues to grow, we’re looking for a CAD Technician to join our commercial division to prepare and manage kitchen, utility and wardrobe drawings for large-scale residential developments.

Working on projects from tender stage through to manufacture, you’ll produce accurate layouts, incorporate site survey information and prepare final drawings for client sign-off and handover to production. You’ll work closely with our Commercial Manager, Project Manager, Site Coordinator and Production Team throughout each project.

If you’re working in CAD or design and are ready to take the next step in your career, we’d like to hear from you. You may have experience as a CAD Technician, Architectural Technician, Kitchen Designer, Furniture Designer or Joinery Designer, or be working in cabinet making and looking to move into a technical office-based role.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings for new commercial tenders.
• Update drawings following site surveys.
• Produce accurate kitchen, utility and wardrobe layouts.
• Review dimensions and identify potential issues.
• Prepare final drawings and supporting information for client sign-off.
• Hand completed drawings and project information over to our Production Team.
• Work closely with our Commercial Manager, Project Manager, Site Coordinator and Production Team to prepare projects for manufacture.

Skills and Experience

Experience in CAD, architectural technology, kitchen design, furniture design, joinery design or cabinet making would be particularly relevant.

Knowledge of kitchens, joinery or fitted furniture is an advantage, as is experience with ArtiCAD and AutoCAD. Training can be provided for the right candidate.
