Aftercare & Support
What aftercare support do you provide?
Aftercare is an important part of the complete service we provide at Mark Lohan Kitchens. From your first design consultation through design, manufacture and installation, your kitchen is managed by one established Irish company, with a dedicated team supporting each stage of the project.
Once your kitchen moves into production, our Customer Support Team becomes your main point of contact, guiding you through the next stages of your project and keeping you informed as your kitchen progresses towards delivery and installation.
The team will communicate your delivery and installation dates, coordinate the relevant stages through to completion and manage any aftercare required following installation in accordance with our warranty and aftercare terms.
The Reassurance of an Established Irish Company
When you're making a significant investment in your home, there is value in knowing who stands behind your kitchen.
For more than two decades, Mark Lohan Kitchens has been designing and manufacturing kitchens in Ireland. Because we design, manufacture and install our kitchens, there is continuity throughout the entire process, from the first ideas discussed with your designer to the finished kitchen in your home.
We also retain the original details and specification of the kitchens we manufacture. Should you need to contact us regarding your kitchen, our team can review the relevant information and advise on the appropriate next steps in accordance with the applicable warranty and aftercare terms.
Appliances and certain third-party products are covered separately by their respective manufacturer's warranties and terms.
A Complete Service, From One Team
Choosing a kitchen isn't only about the cabinetry you see in the finished room. It's also about the design expertise, manufacturing capability, installation and support behind it.
Our approach brings each of those elements together under one company, giving you the reassurance of knowing there is an experienced, established Irish team behind your kitchen from design through to completion.

What warranty do you provide with your kitchens?
We stand behind every kitchen we design, manufacture and install. That's why every Mark Lohan Kitchen is backed by our 10-Year Kitchen Guarantee, giving you confidence long after your installation has been completed.
Your guarantee includes full parts and labour cover for the first five years, followed by parts-only cover for years six to ten, providing long-term protection and peace of mind.
Appliances and other third-party products are covered separately under their respective manufacturers' warranties.
As with all product guarantees, certain exclusions apply. Our guarantee doesn't cover damage caused by misuse, excessive moisture or heat, third-party alterations or repairs, or failure to follow our recommended care and maintenance guidance. As timber is a natural material, normal movement and the natural ageing of painted finishes are also excluded.
Our 10-Year Kitchen Guarantee is conditional upon full payment and the timely reporting of any issues. It does not affect your statutory rights.
For full details of what's covered, together with the terms, conditions and exclusions of our 10-Year Kitchen Guarantee, please refer to our Warranty & Guarantee documentation.
Caring for Your Kitchen
How can I keep my kitchen looking its best?
Your new kitchen has been designed and manufactured to provide years of everyday enjoyment. With a little regular care and attention, it will continue to look and perform beautifully for years to come.
Cabinetry
For everyday cleaning, wipe doors and cabinetry with a soft microfibre cloth and warm water with a mild detergent. Always dry surfaces afterwards with a clean cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, bleach, solvents or harsh chemicals, as these can damage painted and decorative finishes.
Although your kitchen has been manufactured to withstand the demands of everyday life, timber and timber-based products naturally respond to changes in temperature and humidity. Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive heat, steam and standing water, and wipe away any spills promptly. We also recommend positioning kettles, coffee machines and other steam-producing appliances away from directly beneath wall units wherever possible to help protect the finish of your cabinetry over time.
Doors & Drawer Fronts
Whether you've chosen painted, super matt or engineered doors, clean them gently using a soft damp cloth and a mild detergent before drying thoroughly. Avoid excessive moisture and never allow water to sit on surfaces, particularly around joints, edges and profiles.
As with all furniture finishes, natural ageing and slight colour variation may occur over time, particularly where cabinetry is exposed to direct sunlight. This is a natural characteristic of many materials and forms part of their unique character.
Stone Worktops
Whether you've chosen quartz or porcelain, your worktops have been selected for their exceptional durability and everyday performance. Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent, wiping away spills promptly, particularly substances such as wine, coffee, oils and strongly coloured foods.
Although these surfaces offer excellent heat resistance, we always recommend using trivets or heat-resistant mats for hot cookware. Likewise, chopping boards should always be used when preparing food to help protect both the worktop surface and your knives.
Hinges & Drawer Systems
Your hinges and drawer systems are precision engineered to provide smooth, reliable operation for many years of everyday use. They require very little maintenance beyond keeping them clean and free from dust or debris.
Over time, as your home naturally settles, you may notice that a door or drawer requires a minor adjustment. This is perfectly normal and doesn't indicate a fault with your kitchen.
Handles & Hardware
Clean handles, knobs and other hardware using a soft cloth and mild soapy water before drying thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal polishes unless they are specifically recommended for the finish, as these may damage protective coatings.
Looking after your kitchen correctly will help preserve its appearance and performance for many years to come. If you ever have a question about caring for any part of your kitchen, our Customer Support Team will be happy to help and provide the guidance you need.
